Web Design

Web design will have a standard rate of $25 per hour for all work contracted by the client. Following a free consultation with the client, a preliminary site proposal will be provided which will include:

A draft outline of the site (structure, major components, projected number of pages, and description of content and/or graphics)
Additional items needed (domain name registration, hosting service)
Estimate of time required to complete the work outlined in the proposal and price
List of typical phases of work.
Design work will commence upon acceptance of the proposal by the client. A browseable version of the site will be available for viewing by the client. Web page files will be provided at the request of client, otherwise I will retain files.

Stock photography from my vast library of images will also be provided as requested only. Photography is therefore not included in the web design agreement. However, a one time fee of $25 per image used on the site will be added to the final design phase. Rights sold will be First North American Serial Rights. Once again, the photography provided is only an option. You may be more content to have your own work on your site and having me scan or upload your own work is totally up to you.
Optional Ongoing Site Maintenance
For those sites that require regular continual updating and/or maintenance,I will provide up to four (4) hours of services for a total fee of $35 per month.
Special Note on Copyrights
The responsibility for the copyright of any graphics (including logos, charts, diagrams, and photos) or text provided by the client will be assumed by the client and not by Scott Schechtel except for photography (see above).
